During the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 utilities apps on the iOS platform in the Netherlands demonstrated interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Chrome saw a notable fluctuation in downloads, peaking at 75K in the week of April 8 and then gradually decreasing to around 19K by the end of June. Despite the decline in downloads, the app maintained a robust weekly active user base, starting at 702K and ending slightly higher at 704K.

Google experienced steady download numbers throughout the quarter, with a high of 37K in the week of April 29 and a consistent range of 24K to 31K in other weeks. The app's weekly active users also showed stability, starting at 519K and ending at approximately 529K.

Microsoft Edge: AI Browser had a significant spike in downloads at the beginning of April, reaching 47K, but then settled into a range of 7K to 10K for the remainder of the quarter. Revenue for this app, although modest, showed a slight increase, peaking at $40 in mid-May. Active user numbers for the app grew from 191K to about 220K by the end of June.

Toeslagen exhibited a considerable increase in both downloads and active users, particularly in June. Downloads surged to 27K in the last week of June, while weekly active users rose dramatically from 26K at the start of April to 67K by the end of June.

Google Authenticator maintained a steady download rate, with numbers fluctuating between 6K and 9K throughout the quarter. The app's active user count started at 102K in early April and remained relatively stable, concluding the quarter at around 101K.
