During the second quarter of 2024, the travel app landscape in Kuwait saw notable trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 travel apps on iOS based on Sensor Tower data.

Jazeera Airways experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at 1.3K in early April and reaching approximately 2.4K by the end of June. Weekly active users also saw a steady rise, growing from 9.2K to 11.1K over the same period.

Wego Flights & Hotels Booking showed a similar upward trend in downloads, beginning the quarter with 1.1K and peaking at around 2.3K in late May. Active users increased from 13.5K to 15.3K, indicating growing user engagement.

WIYAK: Your Journey Your Story saw fluctuations in download numbers, starting at 769 and reaching a high of 2.6K in mid-May. Despite the ups and downs, the app maintained a solid user base throughout the quarter.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel demonstrated consistent growth in downloads, moving from 847 in early April to nearly 1.9K by the end of June. Weekly active users remained strong, fluctuating slightly but generally increasing from 29.9K to 30.5K.

Careem – rides, food & more also saw a positive trend in downloads, starting at 912 and rising to about 1.8K by mid-June. Active users showed a slight decline in May but recovered to around 25K by the end of the quarter.
