In Q2 2024, the iOS travel app market in the United Arab Emirates saw notable activity among its top performers. Data from Sensor Tower reveals insightful trends for the top 5 travel apps, including Careem – rides, food & more, Booking.com: Hotels & Travel, Uber - Request a ride, Wego Flights & Hotels Booking, and Emirates.

Careem – rides, food & more saw its weekly downloads peak at 17.3K in mid-April, then settled into a more consistent range of 7.8K to 8.8K for the rest of the quarter. Active users started at 37.9K at the beginning of April and increased to around 41.5K by the end of June.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 8.7K in mid-June. Active users showed some fluctuations but generally trended upwards, from 144.7K at the start of April to 142.4K by the end of June, peaking at 149.8K in mid-June.

Uber - Request a ride had a notable peak in weekly downloads at 10.4K in mid-April. Active users consistently increased from 139.9K in early April to 151.6K by the end of June.

Wego Flights & Hotels Booking maintained a steady performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 4K and 5K. Active users saw a steady rise from 32.2K in early April to 36.9K by the end of June.

Emirates saw weekly downloads peaking at 5.4K in mid-April and remained consistent around 4K to 4.7K for the rest of the quarter. Active users increased from 7.9K in early April to 8.9K by the end of June.
