Top 5 iOS Navigation Apps in Egypt for Q2 2024

In the second quarter of 2024, the navigation app market on iOS in Egypt saw some interesting trends. These insights are based on data from Sensor Tower, which provides a comprehensive look at the performance of the top five navigation apps: Google Maps, Radarbot: Speed Cameras | GPS, Qibla Finder Compass 100%, Waze Navigation & Live Traffic, and MapXplorer: Radar, Navigation.

Google Maps maintained its dominance with a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 12.9K in early April and peaking at approximately 17.6K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed a positive trend too, growing from about 1M to over 1.1M throughout the quarter.

Radarbot: Speed Cameras | GPS saw a significant rise in weekly revenue, which began at $878 in early April and increased to $1.8K by late June. Downloads fluctuated but showed an overall increase, with a notable peak at 9.6K in mid-June. The app's weekly active users also experienced growth, reaching a high of around 17.9K in the same period.

Qibla Finder Compass 100% had a mixed quarter with weekly revenue varying from $149 to $448. Downloads started at 2.1K in April, fluctuating throughout the quarter, and ended at 1.4K in late June. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, hovering around 9K to 11K.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced moderate activity with weekly downloads ranging from 715 to 2K. Active users steadily increased from about 12.9K in early April to nearly 19.1K by mid-June, indicating growing user engagement.

MapXplorer: Radar, Navigation showed a dramatic rise in downloads, particularly from late May onwards, peaking at approximately 3.5K in early June. Revenue also saw an uptick, reaching $437 in mid-June, although it dropped to $33 by the end of the month.
