During the second quarter of 2024, the top five iOS navigation apps in Africa demonstrated notable performance trends. Here's a closer look at their weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads consistently above 49K, peaking at approximately 63K in the final week of June. Its weekly active users saw a gradual increase from 2.5M to over 2.7M by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced steady weekly downloads, ranging from 6.3K to 8.9K. Active users also showed a positive trend, growing from around 259K to 275K throughout the quarter.

Radarbot: Speed Cameras | GPS saw a significant increase in revenue, reaching approximately $1.9K in the last week of June. Downloads fluctuated, spiking to nearly 10K in mid-June. The app's active users also grew, starting at approximately 10.6K and ending the quarter at around 15.1K.
