Q2 2024 Performance of Top iOS MOBA Apps in the US

In Q2 of 2024, the US iOS platform saw interesting trends in the MOBA category, with data provided by Sensor Tower offering a glimpse into the performance of the top apps.

Brawl Stars by Supercell showed a peak revenue of over $710K in late April but ended the quarter with a slight dip to around $332K. Downloads maintained a steady range between 7K and 11K, while weekly active users fluctuated, starting at approximately 146K and reaching a high of 163K in mid-May before settling near 150K by the end of June.

Supercell's newcomer, Squad Busters, launched at the end of May, garnered an impressive debut with over $129K in revenue and nearly 46K downloads in its first week. However, both metrics saw a decline, with revenue at about $56K and downloads at 3K by the quarter's close. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, starting strong at 37K and ending at nearly 14K.

The performance of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang from Shanghai Moonton Technology was modest in comparison, with revenues hovering around the $5K to $12K mark and downloads peaking at 159 in early May. Weekly active users remained consistent, with a slight increase from just over 2K to around 2.2K throughout the quarter.

Riot Games' League of Legends: Wild Rift experienced a mid-quarter revenue spike to over $13K but saw a return to around $5K by June's end. Downloads were relatively stable, averaging around 150 per week, and weekly active users stayed within the 5.7K to 6.3K range.

Pokémon UNITE from The Pokemon Company saw modest revenues throughout the quarter, ranging from $269 to $698, with weekly downloads staying near the 130 mark. The game's weekly active users showed a slight decline from just over 2K to approximately 1.7K by the quarter's end.
