Top 5 iOS Insurance Apps in the US: Q2 2024

In the second quarter of 2024, the performance of the top 5 insurance apps on iOS in the United States demonstrated intriguing trends in downloads and weekly active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, reveals the following insights:

Progressive saw a consistent increase in downloads, starting from approximately 108K in early April and reaching around 121K by the end of June. Weekly active users also grew steadily, peaking at nearly 1.3M by the end of the quarter.

State Farm® experienced fluctuating download numbers, starting at about 56K in early April and ending at 61K in late June. Despite these fluctuations, weekly active users showed a gradual increase, growing from 384K to over 402K by the end of the quarter.

GEICO Mobile - Car Insurance reported a steady rise in downloads, beginning at 50K and reaching 56K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users similarly increased, moving from around 601K to approximately 629K during the same period.

UnitedHealthcare displayed varied download rates, with a notable peak of 65K in early April, followed by a decrease and then another rise to 54K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed a downward trend initially but stabilized towards the end of the quarter, ending with about 163K users.

Drive Safe & Save™ had relatively stable download numbers, fluctuating between 27K and 33K. Weekly active users showed a general upward trend, increasing from 1.8M to nearly 1.9M by the end of June.
