In the second quarter of 2024, the Android shopping app landscape saw varied trends in terms of downloads and weekly active users. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top 5 shopping apps, with data courtesy of Sensor Tower.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire experienced a significant surge in downloads, starting from around 7K in the first week of April and peaking at approximately 314K in June. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, with a notable increase from 64K to over 570K in the same period.
Trendyol - Online Alışveriş maintained a steady download rate, with a slight uptick from 114K to 186K between April and May, followed by a dip and a sharp rise to 186K at the end of June. Weekly active users remained robust, hovering around the 17M to 18M mark throughout the quarter.
Turkcell showed consistent download figures, with a peak at 137K in late April and a steady performance thereafter, maintaining over 100K downloads weekly. Active user counts were stable, with a slight decrease from 13M in April to around 12M by the end of June.
AliExpress displayed a varied download trend, starting at 62K, peaking at 77K, and then experiencing fluctuations before stabilizing at around 63K towards the end of June. Active users saw a slight decline from 2.6M to 2.4M during the quarter.
Lastly, DeFacto - Clothing & Shopping had its highest download numbers at the beginning of April with 70K, which then fluctuated, ending the quarter at 33K. Active users saw a decrease from 750K at the start of April to around 499K by the end of June.
