Q2 2024 Android Shopping Apps Performance in the US: Trends and Insights

As the second quarter of 2024 comes to a close, we at Sensor Tower have observed some interesting trends among the top Android shopping applications in the US. Here's a snapshot of how these apps fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire showed a fluctuating download trend, starting the quarter with approximately 47K downloads and dipping to 19K before climbing back to over 31K by the end of June. Weekly active users started strong at 331K but saw a slight decline before rebounding to 388K.

SHEIN-Shopping Online maintained a relatively stable download count, hovering around the 13K to 18K range throughout the quarter. The app's weekly active users saw a mild fluctuation, with a low of 459K in mid-April and a peak of 519K at the end of May, ending the quarter with around 499K active users.

Lidl Plus experienced its highest downloads in early April at 16K, with a downward trend to approximately 10K downloads by the end of June. Weekly active users remained quite consistent, with a slight upward movement from 82K to 85K over the quarter.

Vinted - Buy and sell clothes observed a decreasing trend in downloads, starting at 9K and ending the quarter at around 5K. Weekly active users were stable, with a low of 146K and a high of 151K, closing the quarter with nearly 146K active users.

AliExpress saw a significant drop in downloads from 19K in the first week of April to 3K by the end of June. Weekly active users also saw a decline from 319K to 308K over the same period.
