Q2 2024 Android Shopping Apps Performance in the US

In the second quarter of 2024, the Android platform saw varied performance across the top 5 shopping applications in the United States. Sensor Tower's data offers us a glimpse into the download and user activity trends for these applications.

Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire started the quarter with downloads peaking at 174K in the first week of April and saw a dip to around 66K by early June. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, commencing at approximately 2.5M and experiencing a slight drop, but rebounding to 2.6M towards the end of June.

SHEIN-Shopping Online experienced a gradual decrease in downloads from 139K to around 50K from April to June. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly but generally hovered around the 1M mark, with a noticeable dip to 948K in the last week of June.

AliExpress showed modest download numbers, starting at 62K and reaching a low of 35K in early June, before climbing back up to 59K. The weekly active users showed a more positive trend, with an initial figure of around 1.3M, a mid-quarter dip, and then rising back up to nearly 1.4M by the end of June.

Lidl Plus saw its downloads begin at 61K, decreasing to 33K in early June, and then making a slight recovery to 43K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at around 942K and ending the quarter just under 1M.

Lastly, PENNY Angebote & Coupons showed a surge in downloads from 23K to an impressive 61K towards the end of June. Weekly active users echoed this positive momentum, beginning at 124K and rising to over 200K in the last week of June.
