In the second quarter of 2024, the US Android shopping app landscape showed varying user engagement and download trends. Data from Sensor Tower provides us with a closer look at the performance of the top five shopping apps during this period.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire saw a decline in downloads from 15K in the first week of April to 7K by the end of June. However, weekly active users showed an upward trend, starting at 107K and peaking at 119K in the third week of June.
SHEIN-Shopping Online experienced a decrease in downloads, dropping from 10K to 4K over the quarter. Active users fluctuated slightly but ended with a slight increase, moving from 81K in the first week of April to 84K in the last week of June.
Lidl Plus downloads varied, with a peak at 4.5K in mid-April before dropping to around 3K by late June. Weekly active users remained fairly steady, hovering in the mid-70K range throughout the quarter.
Zalando – online fashion store saw a consistent decline in downloads, starting at 3.4K and ending at 1.8K. Active users peaked at 71K in mid-April but saw a decrease to 67K by the quarter's end.
Maxizoo / Fressnapf also showed a downward trend in downloads, with a decrease from 3.1K to 1.6K. Active users, however, had a slight rise from 10.8K to 11.2K during the quarter.
