During the second quarter of 2024, the top five shopping apps on the Android platform in Argentina exhibited diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users, according to the latest data from Sensor Tower.

Mercado Libre: Compras online saw significant activity in Q2 2024. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at approximately 72.8K in early April and peaking at around 110.7K in the first week of May. By the end of June, downloads settled at about 79.5K. The app also maintained a high number of weekly active users, beginning the quarter with around 3.4M and ending at approximately 3.4M.

Carrefour Argentina experienced a steady stream of downloads, with numbers ranging from roughly 46.6K to 63.9K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a consistent increase from 131K in early April to over 210K by the end of June, indicating growing user engagement.

For Alibaba.com - B2B marketplace, weekly downloads varied between 35.1K and 53K, with a slight decline observed towards the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 565K in early April and ending at approximately 574K in late June, showcasing consistent user interaction.

Samsung Shop displayed notable growth in downloads, especially in May, where it reached around 62.7K. The quarter concluded with 68.4K downloads in the final week of June. Active users also showed a positive trend, starting at 22.9K in late April and rising to about 76.9K by the end of June.

Lastly, AliExpress - Shopping App had a more variable performance. Weekly downloads began at approximately 33.9K and gradually decreased to around 10.9K by the end of June. Despite this, active users remained fairly consistent, with numbers hovering around the 800K to 870K mark throughout the quarter.
