In the second quarter of 2024, the top education apps on the Android platform in Russia showed varied trends in downloads and active user engagement. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of the leading five apps according to data from Sensor Tower.

Duolingo: Language Lessons experienced a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 87K in late April. The app’s weekly active users showed a slight but steady increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching around 873K by the last week of June.

Yandex Translate maintained a consistent download rate, with numbers generally hovering around the 40K-50K range. However, there was a noticeable decline in weekly active users, dropping from about 2.46M at the beginning of April to around 1.93M by the end of June.

Photomath saw a significant decrease in weekly downloads over the quarter, starting at approximately 47K in early April and falling to just over 8K by the end of June. Correspondingly, weekly active users also declined sharply from around 7.07M to 1.93M during the same period.
