In the first quarter of 2024, the top utilities applications in Qatar demonstrated varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here is a closer look at the trends for the top five apps according to Sensor Tower data.
Getcontact from GETVERIFY LDA showed a strong performance in terms of revenue and active users. Weekly revenue peaked at about $2.6K in early March and maintained a consistent range around $2K to $2.5K throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads, however, saw a decline from a high of 1.5K mid-January to around 600 by the end of March. Active users also decreased gradually from approximately 7.9K at the start of January to about 6.8K by the end of March.
VPN Lumos: Secure, Fast Proxy maintained a steady performance. Weekly revenue ranged from $1.3K to $1.8K, peaking at $1.8K in late January. Downloads saw a slight decline from 842 in the first week of January to 738 at the end of March. Active users fluctuated between 1.6K to 2K, ending the quarter at around 1.7K.
Real Caller : Caller id experienced stable revenue, with weekly figures staying between $1.3K and $1.9K, peaking at $1.9K in mid-January. Downloads were relatively low, fluctuating between 223 and 340 weekly. Active users remained consistently around the 30K mark, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
Cleaner Guru: Cleaning App struggled in downloads but showed consistent revenue. Weekly revenue ranged from $1.1K to $1.5K, peaking at $1.5K in early March. Downloads, however, dropped significantly from 711 in the first week of January to just 219 by the end of March. Active users also saw a decline from 581 to 381 over the same period.
NordVPN: VPN Fast & Secure had a notable peak in revenue of $2K in mid-February. Weekly revenue otherwise ranged between $1.1K and $2K. Downloads were relatively stable, fluctuating between 374 and 623. Active users showed a downward trend from 5K at the start of January to around 4.7K by the end of March.
