Top 5 Travel Applications Performance in Venezuela, Q1 2024

In the first quarter of 2024, the travel app market in Venezuela showed varying trends across the top five applications. Below is an overview of the performance of these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Yummy Rides - Viaja y Conduce saw a strong increase in weekly downloads early in the quarter, peaking at approximately 23K in the last week of January before gradually declining to around 16K by the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting from 110K and rising to a peak of 139K in late January, then tapering off to around 113K by the end of the quarter.

Ridery: Safety rides experienced a solid performance with weekly downloads peaking at nearly 25K in late January. Although downloads fluctuated, they remained above 13K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a positive trend, increasing from 63K at the beginning of January to around 66K by the end of March.

BipBip Rides had a notable surge in weekly downloads, starting from 5.5K in early January and reaching a high of 42K in mid-March. Active users followed a similar pattern, growing from 15K at the start of the quarter to over 82K in mid-March before slightly declining to 67K by the end of March.

Airbnb maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at 67K in the first week of January. However, downloads decreased steadily to about 16K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 325K and peaking at 343K in mid-February, before settling at around 290K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride showed consistent performance with weekly downloads hovering between 400 and 600 throughout the quarter. Active users remained stable as well, fluctuating between 28K and 30K.
