In the first quarter of 2024, the top travel applications in Guatemala experienced varying trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride saw a consistent number of weekly downloads throughout the quarter, starting with approximately 7.3K in early January and peaking at 8.2K by the end of March. The app also maintained a strong base of weekly active users, beginning at around 952K and reaching over 1M by March, with a notable peak of nearly 1.1M in early March.

Airbnb experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at nearly 11.7K in the first week of January and dropping to about 4.6K by the last week of March. Weekly active users also saw a gradual decrease from approximately 134K to around 110K over the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides had a dynamic quarter with weekly downloads fluctuating between 10K and 15K, peaking at nearly 15K in the final week of March. The app maintained a stable number of weekly active users, starting at around 165K and ending the quarter at approximately 170K.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel had a mixed performance in terms of weekly downloads, starting at about 3.2K in early January and fluctuating throughout the quarter, ending at approximately 1.9K in late March. Weekly active users showed a slight increase from about 28K to 30K, peaking mid-March.

Google Earth maintained a steady download rate, starting with around 2.1K in the first week of January and ending with 2.1K in the last week of March. The app’s weekly active users remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations around the 20K mark throughout the quarter.
