Throughout the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 travel applications in South Africa showed varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $1.8K in the final week of March. Weekly downloads were highest in mid-March, reaching around 2.1K, while active users grew from 8.6K at the beginning of January to 8.8K by the end of March.

Planes Live - Flight Tracker had consistent weekly revenue, fluctuating between $314 and $390. Downloads saw a significant drop, starting at 540 in early January and falling to 261 by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter with approximately 8.6K.

Firefinch showed steady weekly revenue, hovering around $600 by the end of the quarter. Downloads were minimal, peaking at 64 in mid-January and maintaining low figures throughout the quarter.
