In the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 navigation apps in Ireland demonstrated diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement, according to Sensor Tower's data.

Google Maps maintained a strong user base throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at around 8K in mid-February before dropping to roughly 3.8K in mid-March. Active users saw a consistent rise, starting at approximately 865K in January and reaching over 910K by the end of March.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 3.5K in early January and climbing to 5.7K by late March. Active users also showed an upward trend, beginning at 123K and growing to 149K over the same period.

Moovit: All Transit Options had stable weekly downloads, generally around 2K, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Weekly revenue varied, peaking at $813 in mid-January and then stabilizing around $600 towards the end of March. Active users hovered around 28K throughout the quarter.

Transit • Subway & Bus Times showed consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 1.2K, with minor fluctuations. Revenue saw a significant rise, particularly in early March, reaching $303. Active users steadily increased from approximately 11K to over 13K by the end of the quarter.

Citymapper: All Live Transit maintained stable weekly downloads, ranging between 850 and 1.1K. Revenue remained modest, peaking at $113 in early March. Active users showed a gradual increase, starting at 13.9K in January and reaching 14.6K by the end of March.
