Top 5 Navigation Apps in Hungary: Q1 2024 Performance

The first quarter of 2024 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top 5 navigation apps in Hungary. Data from Sensor Tower reveals the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user numbers for these apps, providing valuable insights into their market presence.

Google Maps experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at 7.3K in early January and ending at 5.3K by the end of March. Despite this, its weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 340K mark throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a slight increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 6.4K in the final week of March. The app's weekly active users also showed a positive trend, rising from 237K at the start of the quarter to 265K by the end.

Shell: Fuel & Rewards had a mixed performance in terms of downloads, starting at around 4K in January but dropping to 2.8K by the end of March. Its weekly active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from 30.2K to approximately 27.9K over the quarter.

Moovit: All Transit Options showed a significant increase in weekly downloads, climbing from about 1.9K in January to nearly 3K by the end of March. The app's weekly revenue peaked at $226 in early February but saw a decline to $146 by the end of the quarter. Active users for Moovit also increased, reaching 27.1K in the final week of March.

Speedometer × had consistent weekly downloads, starting at 425 and ending at 356. Revenue showed minor fluctuations, peaking at $24 in mid-January and mid-February. The app maintained a stable number of weekly active users, hovering around the 350 mark throughout the quarter.
