Top 5 Navigation Applications in France Q1 2024

The first quarter of 2024 saw interesting developments among the top navigation applications in France, with notable trends in weekly downloads and active users.

Google Maps started strong with around 72.8K downloads in the first week of January, peaking at 96.7K by the end of the month. However, downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, ending at approximately 59.3K in the final week of March. The app maintained a robust weekly active user base, staying above 7.7M consistently, with minor fluctuations.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a surge in downloads, reaching a peak of about 194.9K in late January before stabilizing around 74.8K by the end of March. The active user count also showed significant activity, peaking at 6.1M in late January and maintaining over 5.2M towards the end of the quarter.

Île-de-France Mobilités had a relatively stable performance in terms of weekly downloads, ranging from 30.5K to 42.2K throughout the quarter. Active users hovered around 300K, peaking at 321.6K in late February.

Bonjour RATP showed consistent download numbers, starting at 36.8K in early January and ending at 27.2K by the end of March. The app's active user base saw a peak of around 405.9K in mid-January and remained steady above 300K for the rest of the quarter.

Citymapper: All Live Transit had a stable download trend, fluctuating between 16.6K and 25.6K. The app's active user count peaked at approximately 543.7K in late February and stayed above 450K for most of the quarter. Citymapper also generated some revenue, peaking at $1.3K in late February.
