In the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 lifestyle applications in Kenya showed notable trends in weekly downloads and active user engagement. Data from Sensor Tower reveals the following insights:

MySafaricom, published by Safaricom Limited, saw a consistent rise in weekly downloads. Starting at approximately 19.6K in the first week of January, downloads peaked at around 37.4K by the final week of March. Active users also displayed robust engagement, beginning at 1.81M and reaching nearly 2M by the end of the quarter.

My Airtel, from Airtel Africa, experienced a steady increase in downloads, starting at around 12K in early January and growing to approximately 32.5K by the last week of March. The active user base also showed growth, moving from 185K to over 233K throughout the quarter.

Pinterest maintained a stable download rate with a slight upward trend, beginning at 17.9K and closing the quarter at around 20.8K. Active users remained fairly consistent, fluctuating slightly around the 390K mark.

Glovo: Food Delivery and More, offered by Glovoapp 23SL, saw a varied download pattern, starting at 13.9K in the first week of January, dipping mid-quarter, and ending at about 8.9K. The active user count hovered around 150K to 160K throughout the quarter.
