Top 5 Insurance Apps Performance in Germany Q1 2024

Throughout the first quarter of 2024, Germany's top insurance apps experienced notable trends in downloads and active user metrics. This analysis provides a closer look at the performance of Meine AOK, TK-App, BARMER-App, Meine Allianz, and Meine SI Mobile.

Meine AOK from AOK Bundesverband had a strong start with weekly downloads at approximately 46.6K in early January, gradually decreasing to around 32.5K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decline from 187.8K to 183.5K over the quarter, with a notable peak of 195.2K in the second week of January.

TK-App by Techniker Krankenkasse saw weekly downloads fluctuate between 31.9K and 19.6K. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 192.9K and ending the quarter at 186.6K, with a peak of 198K in mid-January.

The BARMER-App from BARMER displayed a consistent decline in downloads, beginning the quarter at 24.6K and dropping to 8.9K by late March. Active users also decreased from 171.7K to 159.2K, with a peak of 177.9K in late January.

Meine Allianz from Allianz Deutschland experienced a decrease in weekly downloads, starting at 17.5K and tapering off to 9.5K. Active users followed a similar trend, beginning at 55.9K and ending at 47.7K, with a peak of 55.5K in late February.

Lastly, Meine SI Mobile from SIGNAL IDUNA Allgemeine Versicherung AG had a more stable download pattern, starting at 13.6K and ending at 5.8K.
