In the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 finance apps in Ghana demonstrated diverse performance trends across downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

MoMo from MTN showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at nearly 49.4K in late February. However, the app experienced a decline towards the end of the quarter, settling at around 30.5K downloads in the last week of March. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly but remained robust, starting at 180K and reaching 199K by the end of March.

UnikCredit saw a significant rise in weekly downloads, starting at 497 in mid-January and surging to 58.5K in mid-March. Active users followed a similar upward trend, starting at 391 and reaching 80.3K by the end of March.

ItapCredit exhibited varied performance in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with 19.6K downloads and seeing a peak of 47K in mid-March before dropping to 20K in the final week.
