Q1 2024 Performance of Top Auto Apps in the US

The first quarter of 2024 has been quite dynamic for the top auto applications in the United States. Sensor Tower's analysis reveals noteworthy trends in downloads and weekly active users across both iOS and Android platforms.

Starting with Toyota, the brand saw its downloads fluctuate, starting at approximately 69K in the first week of January and peaking at 75K towards the end of February. Weekly active users remained above 1.2M, with a peak at over 1.3M in the last week of February.

Chevron also experienced swings in download numbers, which dipped to around 58K mid-January but recovered to 75K by mid-March. The app's weekly active users showed a gradual increase, starting around 250K and rising to approximately 280K by early March.

The Cars.com - New & Used Cars app witnessed a decrease in downloads from 57K at the beginning of January to around 46K by the end of March. Weekly active users saw a slight decline from 582K to 562K over the quarter.

CarGurus: Used & New Cars downloads started at roughly 50K and experienced a mid-quarter rise to 58K, followed by a dip to 43K by the quarter's end. The app maintained its weekly active users well, starting at around 393K and showing a modest decrease to 393K.

Tesla showed a varied download pattern, starting the quarter with 38K downloads and reaching a high of 49K in the last week of March. The weekly active users for Tesla exhibited a strong presence, maintaining over 1M users throughout the quarter, with slight fluctuations.
