The Utilities category on the iOS platform has seen a range of activities in the United States during the first quarter of 2024. Sensor Tower's data provides us with insights into the performance of the top applications in this segment.
Google started the quarter with downloads at 513K and saw a peak at 674K in early March before settling down to 504K by the end of March. Weekly active users remained fairly stable, beginning at 9.25M and fluctuating slightly throughout the quarter to close at 9.02M.
Google Chrome experienced a slight decline in downloads from 348K to 310K over the quarter, with weekly active users starting at 10.61M, dipping mid-quarter, and then rising to 10.63M by the end of March.
Google Authenticator saw its downloads vary, with an early January figure of 112K, a jump to 155K in early March, and then a decrease to 123K towards the end of the quarter. The app's weekly active users showed a similar pattern, starting at 603K, peaking at 646K, and finishing the quarter at 626K.
TV Remote - Universal Control by EVOLLY.APP generated revenue throughout the quarter, starting at $158K in the first week of January and reaching a high of $150K in the last week of March. Downloads saw a gradual decline from 128K to 102K, with weekly active users starting at 194K and ending at 160K.
My Verizon, while not generating revenue, had a steady number of downloads beginning at 109K and dipping down to 87K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users started at 774K and saw a slight decrease to 742K in the last week of March.
