Top 5 Utilities Applications on iOS in Romania: Q1 2024

The first quarter of 2024 saw significant activity among the top utilities applications on iOS in Romania. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here is a closer look at the performance trends for Google, SAMEDAY App, Google Chrome, Widgetable: Pet & Widget Theme, and Cargus Mobile.

Google experienced a moderate number of weekly downloads, starting at around 12.4K in the first week of January and peaking at 13.9K in the second week. Downloads slightly declined to about 8.9K by the end of March. The app maintained a steady number of weekly active users, beginning at approximately 153.8K and gradually increasing to 155.8K.

The SAMEDAY App showed strong growth in downloads, with numbers rising from 6.8K at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of 10.6K in mid-February, before leveling off to around 7.7K by the end of March. Weekly active users for the app increased consistently from 49.4K at the start of January to 66.3K by the end of the quarter.

Google Chrome had a varied performance in terms of downloads. Starting at about 7.9K, downloads dipped to 6.6K in early February but surged to 12.8K in the first week of March. The app's weekly active users remained stable throughout the quarter, fluctuating around the 237K mark.

Widgetable: Pet & Widget Theme saw a remarkable increase in both downloads and revenue. Downloads grew from 932 in early January to a peak of 17.8K in mid-March. Revenue followed a similar trend, starting at $135 in the first week of January and reaching $1.3K by mid-March. The app's weekly active users also increased significantly, from about 16.9K in early January to over 50.3K by the end of March.

Lastly, Cargus Mobile maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter. Starting at 3.3K in the first week of January, downloads peaked at 4.1K in late March.
