Top 5 Utilities Apps on iOS in Germany for Q1 2024

The first quarter of 2024 saw significant activity in the utilities category on the iOS platform in Germany. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 utilities applications.

Google experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads. Starting the quarter with around 73.8K downloads, it saw a peak of approximately 98.4K in the week of February 12. However, by the end of March, downloads had decreased to 58.3K. Meanwhile, weekly active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 1.55M throughout the quarter.

Google Chrome showed a significant spike in weekly downloads, particularly in early March, with numbers rising from 67.8K to a peak of 166.6K. Although downloads dropped to 77K by the end of March, weekly active users remained steady, averaging around 1.61M.

AusweisApp Bund saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 54.5K in mid-March. The app’s active user base also grew from 213K at the beginning of January to a peak of 230.9K at the end of February, before settling at 206K by the end of March.

Google Authenticator maintained a consistent download rate, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 21.9K and 30.1K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a positive trend, increasing from 216.3K in early January to a peak of 255.8K in mid-March before slightly declining to 239.5K by the end of the quarter.

MeinMagenta: Handy & Festnetz had a steady weekly download rate, with numbers ranging from 15.9K to 22K. The app’s active user base saw growth from 132K in January to a peak of 158.2K in early March, before ending the quarter at 145.7K.
