The first quarter of 2024 saw significant activity in the travel app sector on iOS in South America. Below, we delve into the performance of the top five travel apps: Uber - Request a ride, 99 - Private drivers and Taxi, Airbnb, inDrive. Save on city rides, and Booking.com: Hotels & Travel.

Uber - Request a ride had a strong presence, with weekly downloads starting at around 144K in early January and fluctuating throughout the quarter, ending at approximately 111K in late March. The app's weekly active users showed a steady increase, peaking at around 3.1M in early March before slightly declining to about 2.9M by the end of the quarter.

99 - Private drivers and Taxi also demonstrated notable performance. Weekly downloads began at 83K and saw a slight decline, closing the quarter at 67K. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, starting at around 1.4M and ending at approximately 1.5M.

Airbnb experienced a drop in weekly downloads from 120K at the beginning of January to about 55K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users decreased from around 643K to 436K over the same period.

inDrive. Save on city rides saw weekly downloads beginning at around 74K, dipping to 55K by quarter's end. The app's active user base, however, showed a positive trend, increasing from 896K to approximately 909K.

Lastly, Booking.com: Hotels & Travel had its weekly downloads start at 89K and decline to around 46K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users started at approximately 1.2M, showing some fluctuation and ending the quarter at around 929K.
