In the first quarter of 2024, Argentina saw significant activity in the travel app sector on iOS, with top apps showing varied trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the leading travel applications, based on data from Sensor Tower.

SUBE, developed by Nación Servicios S.A., experienced a dynamic quarter. Weekly downloads peaked at 37K in the first week of February, followed by a notable dip to around 9.8K by mid-March. Active users increased from 15.7K at the start of January to approximately 50K in early February, before stabilizing around the 33K mark towards the end of March.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady presence in the market. Weekly downloads fluctuated between 10K and 17K, with a peak of 16.6K in early February. Active users demonstrated a steady growth, starting at 353K in early January and reaching a peak of 440K by mid-March.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides showed consistent performance throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads remained stable, ranging from 4.8K to 8.1K. Active users were steady as well, starting the quarter at 38.9K and peaking at 44.3K in mid-March, before ending at 40.7K.

Cabify saw modest fluctuations in its metrics. Weekly downloads hovered around 4.5K to 5.9K, with a peak in the week of March 11. Active users showed a slight decline from 44.4K at the start of January to 39.8K by the end of March, after peaking at approximately 48.9K in late January.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a gradual decrease in downloads, starting at 6K in early January and dropping to about 3.2K by mid-March. Active users also saw a downward trend, beginning at 117K in the first week of January and settling around 87K by the end of March.
