Q1 2024 Performance of Top Shopping Apps on iOS in Europe

Shopping apps continue to be a staple on European iOS devices, with several standout performers in the first quarter of 2024. Sensor Tower's data provides a glimpse into the trends of downloads and weekly active users for the leading shopping apps in the region.

Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire started the quarter with strong downloads at 1.16M and peaked mid-January at 1.31M, before settling down to around 1.14M by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a steady increase from 10.61M to 12.24M during the quarter.

SHEIN - Shopping Online also saw a significant uptrend in downloads from 351K to over 1M by the quarter's end. Its active users reflected a similar growth, jumping from 9.7M to a remarkable 14.66M, indicating a strong start to the year for the fashion retailer.

Vinted: Sell vintage clothes maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, beginning at 333K and ending slightly lower at 331K. Weekly active users hovered around the 6.4M to 6.5M range, showing a stable user base for the platform.

Lidl Plus, the digital loyalty app for the supermarket chain, showed a gradual increase in downloads starting at 211K and rising to 280K by March. Active users also saw a slight growth, from 3.61M to 4.14M, suggesting a steady adoption rate among shoppers.

Lastly, AliExpress Shopping App observed a dip in downloads early in the quarter from 205K to 150K, but rebounded to 181K by the end. Weekly active users started at 5.65M, dipped to 5.35M mid-quarter, and then rose to 6.04M, showing resilience in user engagement.
