In the first quarter of 2024, the French insurance app market on iOS showcased interesting trends in user acquisition and engagement, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a glance at how the top five insurance applications performed.
Mon AXa Assurance & Assistance saw a fluctuating download trend starting with approximately 9K and peaking at over 10K in mid-January, followed by a gradual decrease to under 7K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a generally increasing trend, from around 236K in the first week of January to approximately 261K in the last week of March.
MACIF experienced a steady increase in downloads from 3K in the first week of January to over 6K in the last week of March. Weekly active users grew from 22K to almost 29K in the same period, indicating a growing user base.
The newcomer carte Vitale, released in late 2023, had an initial download count of around 2.5K, which saw a significant spike to over 9K in late February, before settling back down to approximately 3.8K by March end. Active user data for carte Vitale was not provided.
Harmonie & moi downloads decreased from approximately 6.5K to 2.4K over the quarter. The weekly active users started at around 27K and saw a decrease to 22K, followed by a slight recovery to around 23K by the quarter's end.
