In Q1 2024, the top finance apps on iOS in Nigeria showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends for each app:

OPay-We are beyond Banking saw a peak in weekly downloads at around 83K in the week of January 22, with a gradual decline to approximately 53K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 605K and 676K throughout the quarter.

PalmPay - Transfers, Bills experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, hitting a high of about 36K in the week of February 19. However, downloads dropped to around 17K by the end of March. Active users peaked at roughly 342K in the week of February 19, before decreasing to 294K by the end of the quarter.

Kuda - Free transfer & payment maintained a steady weekly download rate, ranging from 11K to 14K. Active users remained consistent, fluctuating slightly between 155K and 167K over the quarter.

Bybit: Buy & Trade Crypto saw a significant spike in downloads, reaching up to 46K in the week of February 26. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at around 45K in the week of March 4 before settling to approximately 32K by the end of March.

Moniepoint Business Banking showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at about 13K in the week of March 18. Active users also increased steadily, growing from around 96K at the beginning of January to about 117K by the end of March.
