During the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 education apps on iOS in South America showcased varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared:

Duolingo - Language Lessons experienced a steady revenue stream, beginning with around $189K in the first week of January and fluctuating between $97K and $135K throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads remained fairly stable, peaking at 78.7K in late January and gradually decreasing to 66.5K by the end of March. Active users consistently hovered around 1.2M, reaching a peak of approximately 1.27M in mid-March.

Jornada do Estudante saw a significant surge in downloads, especially in March, with a peak of 266K in the week of March 18. Active users mirrored this trend, jumping from just 41 in early January to an impressive 361K by the end of March.

Google Classroom did not generate any revenue but saw a substantial increase in both downloads and active users. The app’s downloads rose from 9.5K in early January to a peak of 63.8K in early March.
