In the dating app ecosystem, the iOS platform saw varied trends across the top apps in the United States during the first quarter of 2024. Insights from Sensor Tower provide a closer look at the performance of these apps in terms of downloads, revenue, and user engagement.

Tinder: Chat, Dating & Friends maintained its popularity with a consistent download rate hovering around 120K per week and peaking at 126K in mid-February. Weekly active users stayed above 3.5M, with slight fluctuations throughout the quarter. Revenue trends showed a high in the first week of January at nearly $6.8M, followed by a general downward trend, closing at approximately $5.9M in the last week of March.

Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet also showed a stable download trend, with numbers mostly above 90K each week, and active users remained above 2.3M. Revenue for Hinge experienced a slight dip from the beginning of January at $3.1M to $2.8M by the end of March.

The Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date saw a similar pattern with downloads generally in the 80K-90K range and weekly active users staying around the 2M mark. Bumble's revenue started at $4.2M and saw a dip to $3.7M by the quarter's end.

A different landscape was observed for OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative, which, despite its revenue staying below $60K each week, saw a significant increase in downloads from 69K in the first week of January to 86K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a healthy growth from 215K to 286K in the same period.
