Shopping app enthusiasts in the UK have been actively engaging with their favorite platforms on Android devices throughout the first quarter of 2024. Sensor Tower's latest data offers insights into the performance of the top 5 shopping applications in this period.

Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire saw a notable increase in downloads, starting the quarter with approximately 230K and peaking at 256K in mid-January. Although downloads dipped to around 104K towards the end of January, they climbed back up to 135K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users reflected a growth trend, rising from 1.76M at the start of January to over 2.21M by the quarter's close.

SHEIN-Shopping Online, another popular choice, exhibited a fluctuating download pattern, with an early January figure of around 73K, a surge to 98K in the third week, and a significant leap to 137K in mid-March. Weekly active users for SHEIN also increased, from 930K in the first week of January to over 1.36M by the end of March.

Vinted - Buy and sell clothes maintained a steady climb in downloads, starting at approximately 38K and reaching a peak of 62K in the third week of January, although it experienced a slight decline to 40K by the end of March. Weekly active users saw a modest rise from 792K to 833K over the quarter.

The Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app kicked off the year with downloads around 59K, observed a mid-quarter high of 60K, and ended with a slight increase to 45K in the last week of March. The number of weekly active users showed a downward trend, starting at 1.39M and decreasing to 1.2M by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Lidl Plus downloads saw an upward movement from 25K in the first week of January to a high of 37K in mid-February, before descending to 30K by the end of March. Weekly active users for Lidl Plus demonstrated a gradual decrease from 704K to 756K throughout the quarter.
