Q1 2024 Snapshot: Top Android Insurance Apps in Latin America

In the first quarter of 2024, Latin America's Android insurance application market showed varied user engagement across top apps. Data sourced from Sensor Tower provides us with a glimpse into the downloads and active user trends for these applications.

My AXA México kicked off the quarter with approximately 4.4K downloads and saw a gradual decline to 1.7K by the end of March. Weekly active users started at 12K and dipped to just over 10K, indicating a steady user base despite the decrease in new downloads.

For AllianzConnX, the quarter began with around 1.5K downloads, but the app experienced a drop-off, ending at 569 downloads in the last week of March. The active user data was not provided, leaving us with downloads as the primary performance metric.

Autoservicio Colombia observed modest download numbers, starting the quarter at 194 and peaking at 240 in late January. However, there was a noticeable downturn to just 60 downloads by the end of Q1. The weekly active users data for this app was also not available.

Cuvva maintained a low but consistent download rate, beginning at 76 downloads in the first week of January and slightly increasing to 84 by March's end. Active user count was minimal, with only 10 users recorded in the second week of March, dropping to zero the following week.

Lastly, HUK Mein Auto showed a fluctuating download pattern, with numbers ranging from 93 at the start of January to 41 in the last week of March. Weekly active users hovered around the 1.3K mark throughout the quarter, indicating a stable user engagement despite fluctuating downloads.

While revenue data for these apps was consistently at zero throughout the quarter, the focus on downloads and active users provides valuable insights into the engagement trends within the insurance app sector in Latin America.
