Top 5 Insurance Apps on Android in Costa Rica: Q1 2024

In the first quarter of 2024, Costa Rica's top five insurance apps on the Android platform demonstrated diverse performance metrics in terms of weekly downloads. According to data from Sensor Tower, here's a closer look at the trends for INS 24/7, Unity, QMóvil CR, Club MediSmart, and ASSA Compañía de Seguros.

INS 24/7 saw fluctuations in weekly downloads throughout Q1. The app started the quarter with 712 downloads in the first week of January, peaking at 749 in the week of January 15. However, it experienced a decline towards the end of the quarter, with weekly downloads dropping to around 424 by the last week of March.

Unity had a more consistent yet declining trend in weekly downloads. Starting at 226 downloads in the first week of January, the app peaked at 275 in early February. Following this, downloads gradually decreased, hitting a low of 61 in the last week of March.

QMóvil CR maintained a relatively stable download rate. The app began the quarter with 168 downloads and saw minor fluctuations, reaching a high of 191 downloads in late February and ending the quarter with 134 downloads in the final week of March.

Club MediSmart experienced a noticeable decline in weekly downloads over the quarter. Starting at 182 downloads in the first week of January, the app's downloads decreased steadily, falling to 51 by the last week of March.

ASSA Compañía de Seguros showed a more stable pattern in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with 99 downloads. The app saw minor fluctuations, reaching a peak of 115 downloads in the second week of January and ending the quarter with 71 downloads in the last week of March.
