Q1 2024 Performance of Top Dating Apps on Android in Brazil

Dating apps continue to be a vibrant market in Brazil, and Sensor Tower's data from the first quarter of 2024 gives us insight into how the top contenders are faring on the Android platform.

Starting with Badoo Dating App: Meet & Date, we've seen a slight downtrend in revenue over the quarter, starting at around $47K and closing near $34K. Downloads peaked in mid-February at approximately 114K, while weekly active users experienced a decline from almost 4M at the beginning of January to 3.75M by the end of March.

Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date showed more stability in revenue, hovering around the $180K to $200K mark, with a noticeable dip to $173K in early March. Downloads saw a mid-quarter spike at over 102K but ended the quarter relatively stable at around 93K. Weekly active users maintained a range between 3.5M and 3.7M throughout the quarter.

iwee - Live Video Chat had a more fluctuating pattern in revenue, peaking at $18K in mid-January and then declining to around $10K by late March. Downloads remained robust with an early January high of over 82K, but ended the quarter with a slight decrease to about 58K. Active users showed a steady range, from approximately 412K to 434K.

For Timo Club - live voice chat, we've observed an increase in revenue towards the end of the quarter, starting at nearly $5K and reaching $5.5K. Downloads had a notable rise in early March, hitting a peak of approximately 80K. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, starting at 140K and climbing to over 168K.

Lastly, Timo - Chat Near & Real Friend demonstrated a significant growth in revenue, more than doubling from $2.5K to $5.1K by the quarter's end. Downloads saw a considerable surge, especially in March, with a jump from 16K to over 97K at its peak. Active users followed a similar upward trajectory, rising from about 65K to 182K.
