As the final quarter of 2023 wrapped up, the utilities category in France saw interesting movements in terms of app performance. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a glimpse into the downloads and active user trends for the top utilities applications.

Google maintained a strong user base with weekly active users peaking at around 18M in November before a slight dip to 17.7M by the end of December. Downloads had a mid-quarter spike at approximately 119K in October, followed by a gradual decrease to 91K in the last week of December.

For L’Identité Numérique La Poste, downloads reached a high of over 100K in the second week of October, but saw a decline to under 60K by the Christmas week. The app's weekly active users experienced a peak of approximately 359K in November, which then fell to just under 300K by the end of the quarter.

Google Chrome showed a consistent number of weekly active users, hovering around the 26.7M mark for most of the quarter. Downloads for the browser saw a high of approximately 43K in early October and ended the quarter on a high note with around 55K downloads in the last week of December.

Leboncoin experienced a steady level of weekly active users, starting at 3.5M in September and spiking to over 3.6M in late October and mid-November. Downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, with a notable drop to around 49K in mid-December before rebounding to 65K during the holiday season.

Lastly, EDF & MOI saw a significant increase in weekly active users from 669K at the start of the quarter to a peak of over 1M in late November. Downloads for the app showed an upward trend in the first half of the quarter, reaching over 65K in late October, before eventually settling at around 43K by the year's end.
