As the year 2023 came to a close, Sensor Tower's data provides insightful trends on the top Utilities applications across Europe. Our analysis of the unified platform data, encompassing both iOS and Android, shows the varying performance among the leading apps in the final quarter.

Google, a staple in the Utilities category, saw a fluctuation in downloads throughout Q4, peaking at 903K in the week of October 23 and reaching a low of 629K in mid-December. Despite this variability, weekly active users remained robust, with a slight dip from 213M in mid-November to 209M by the year's end.

Google Chrome also experienced a rollercoaster in downloads, starting at 366K and climbing to a high of 490K in the final week of December. The active user base for Chrome showed a more consistent trend, starting at 356M and gently declining to 354M over the quarter.
