In Q4 2023, the travel app market in El Salvador showed diverse trends across the top five apps. According to Sensor Tower data, here’s a breakdown of their performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users.

Uber - Request a ride saw a consistent rise in weekly downloads, starting with around 7.4K in late September and peaking at approximately 9.9K in mid-December. Weekly active users also displayed stability, maintaining figures around 350K, with a minor peak at 367K by the end of November.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced fluctuating downloads, beginning at 9.9K in late September and reaching a high of 12.2K in mid-December. Active users showed a slight decline, starting at 125K and ending the quarter at 120K.

Airbnb had a varied download trend, with a noticeable spike to 6.9K during the last week of December. Active users increased over the quarter, starting at 59K and growing to 70K by the end of December.

avianca showed modest download numbers, fluctuating between 600 and 900 throughout the quarter. Active users saw a slight increase from 1.8K in late September to 2.2K by the end of November.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel had steady download growth, starting at around 1K in late September and peaking at 1.4K in the last week of December. Active users also grew steadily, ending the quarter at approximately 16K.
