Top 5 Travel Apps Performance in Chile Q4 2023

The fourth quarter of 2023 saw notable activity in the travel app sector in Chile. Here’s a breakdown of the performance of the top five travel applications, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride had a dynamic quarter. Weekly downloads showed a mix of fluctuations and growth, starting at around 24K at the end of September and peaking at roughly 33K by the end of October. By the end of December, downloads reached approximately 32K. The app maintained strong user engagement, with active users starting at 1.54M in late September and peaking at about 1.71M in early December before settling at around 1.42M by the end of the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides also showed a positive trend in weekly downloads. The app started with about 20K downloads at the end of September and saw a peak of approximately 26K by the end of December. Active user numbers started at around 1.33M and peaked at roughly 1.47M in mid-December, before ending the quarter at about 1.20M.

Airbnb experienced a steady increase in downloads throughout the quarter. Starting at around 9.8K in late September, downloads grew to approximately 18.3K by the end of December. Active users also saw a gradual increase, beginning at about 103K and peaking at roughly 136K by the end of the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed consistent weekly downloads, starting at around 16K in late September and reaching approximately 21K by the end of December. The app maintained steady active user numbers, starting at around 213K and seeing a peak of roughly 220K at the end of December.

Cabify also had notable performance metrics. Weekly downloads began at around 12.5K and fluctuated, peaking at roughly 14K by the end of October and maintaining a similar level through December. Active users started at about 203K and peaked at approximately 214K in early December, ending the quarter at around 209K.
