In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top five shopping apps in South America displayed diverse trends in downloads and active users. Shopee Brasil - Frete Zero maintained high weekly downloads throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately 1.9M in the week of November 6. However, by the end of December, downloads decreased to around 609K. Active users experienced fluctuations, reaching a high of 31.4M in mid-November and settling at 28.6M by the end of the quarter.

Mercado Libre: Compras Online saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, with a peak of about 1M in the week of November 20. Active users also showed positive trends, peaking at 33.6M in the same week and concluding the quarter with a slight decrease to 30.8M.

SHEIN - Shopping Online experienced a decline in weekly downloads from about 1M at the beginning of October to approximately 417K by the end of December. Active users followed a similar downward trend, decreasing from 23.8M in early November to 18.5M at the quarter's close.

Amazon Shopping showed a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 1.6M in the week of November 20. Active users also rose, reaching approximately 9.7M in the same week before ending the quarter at around 8.2M. Weekly revenue saw a steady increase, peaking at roughly $52K in mid-December.

Magalu: compras com descontos had a peak in weekly downloads of around 823K in the week of November 20, but saw a decline to about 289K by the end of December. Active users reached a high of about 7.8M in the same period and concluded the quarter at 5.8M.
