The fourth quarter of 2023 saw interesting trends across the top 5 education applications on a unified platform in the United Kingdom. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Duolingo - Language Lessons experienced significant fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $911K in the final week of December. Weekly downloads showed a varied pattern, with a high of around 77K in early November and ending the quarter with about 66K. Active user numbers remained strong, ranging from 1.1M to 1.3M throughout the quarter.

Photomath had a relatively stable revenue stream, ranging between $2.9K and $6.6K per week. Downloads saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, dropping from around 34K in early October to just over 4K by Christmas. Active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from approximately 185K in early October to around 68K by the end of December.
