Q4 2023 Performance of Top Dating Apps in the US Revealed

In the final quarter of 2023, the dating app scene in the United States saw varying trends across downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Data provided by Sensor Tower gives us a closer look at the performance of these apps.

Tinder: Chat, Dating & Friends maintained its popularity with revenue fluctuating around the $5M mark and peaking at $5.9M in the last week of December. Downloads showed a slight downward trend from 200K to 190K, while weekly active users saw a decrease from 6.1M to 5.7M throughout the quarter.

Bumble: Dating & Friends App also exhibited consistent performance in revenue, with figures hovering above $4M and reaching a high of $4.4M towards the end of December. Downloads for Bumble ranged between 161K and 132K, and the app experienced a dip in weekly active users from 4.1M to 3.7M over the three-month period.

Hinge Dating App: Match & Date showed a positive revenue trend, increasing from $2.7M to $3.5M by the close of the year. Downloads saw a decrease from 150K to 139K, and weekly active users were relatively stable with a minor drop from 3.7M to 3.6M.

Wizz App - chat now experienced a significant rise in revenue, starting at $399K and almost doubling to $742K by the year's end. Downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, with a notable increase to 98K in the last week, and the app's weekly active users grew from 1.5M to 1.8M.

Lastly, Plenty of Fish Dating App showed modest revenue growth from $481K to $522K. Its downloads remained steady around the 55K mark, and the app's weekly active users saw a slight increase from 520K to 542K.
