In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top 5 apparel applications in South Africa exhibited diverse performance trends across downloads and active users. These insights are derived from Sensor Tower data.

SHEIN - Shopping Online started the quarter strong with around 447K downloads in late September, but saw a consistent decline, ending the year with approximately 64K downloads in the last week of December. Weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at 1.07M in late October before settling at around 904K by the end of December.

MyRunway SA Fashion Shopping experienced moderate download activity, with a notable spike to about 29.7K downloads in mid-November. However, the app's downloads decreased significantly to 5.5K by the end of December. Active user numbers showed a similar pattern, peaking at 72.3K in mid-November and then declining to 50.2K in the last week of December.
