During the fourth quarter of 2023, the top travel apps on iOS in Nigeria showcased diverse performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a consistent growth in weekly downloads, starting from 13.1K in late September and peaking at 16.3K by the end of December. Active users experienced fluctuations, beginning at approximately 64K and ending the quarter at around 53K.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced a sharp increase in weekly downloads, particularly noticeable in mid-November where it spiked to 17.2K. Active users also saw a rise, starting at around 49K in late September and climbing to 65K by the end of the year.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, beginning at 4.9K and reaching up to 7.8K by the last week of December. However, active users showed a declining trend, starting from 198K and dropping to 157K by the end of the quarter.

Rida — cheaper than taxi ride experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, with numbers rising from 3.3K in late September to 5.1K in the final week of December. Active users followed a similar upward trend, starting at 24.2K and ending at 28K.

Lastly, Wakanow: Flights, Hotels, Cars had a significant spike in downloads at the beginning of October, reaching 3.3K, but saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, settling at 1.6K.
