In the fourth quarter of 2023, the performance of the top 5 iOS shopping apps in Kenya displayed diverse trends in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at each app's performance based on Sensor Tower data.

Alibaba.com saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 1.5K in mid-November. The app's active users also showed a steady rise, starting from approximately 19.7K in late September and reaching about 22K by the end of December.

Jumia Online Shopping experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, with a significant spike to 1.5K at the end of October. However, the active user base showed a decline from around 6.6K in late September to about 5.5K by the end of December.

MAF Carrefour Online Shopping had a moderate performance with weekly downloads peaking at 1.1K at the end of October. Active users, however, displayed a downward trend, starting from approximately 2.8K in late September and reducing to around 1.7K by the end of December.

SHEIN - Shopping Online maintained a stable weekly download rate, with a slight peak at around 895 downloads in mid-November. The app's active users showed a gradual increase from approximately 5.4K in late September to about 6.2K by late December.

Kilimall demonstrated a significant surge in weekly downloads, particularly in late October with downloads reaching around 1.1K. The app maintained a steady download rate thereafter, with slight fluctuations around 800 to 900 downloads towards the end of the quarter.
