As the fourth quarter of 2023 comes to a close, we at Sensor Tower have taken a deep dive into the performance of the leading MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) applications on the iOS platform in Europe. In this analysis, we'll be looking at the trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for these competitive titles.
Supercell's Brawl Stars has shown a significant uptrend in all metrics. The game's revenue increased from $384K to over $1.1M, while downloads saw a substantial rise from 93K to 266K. Weekly active users also displayed a healthy growth from approximately 2.7M to nearly 6M.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, published by Shanghai Moonton Technology, also experienced an uptick in performance. Revenue climbed from $247K to $381K, and downloads grew modestly from 33K to 39K. The game's weekly active users saw a slight fluctuation but ended the quarter on a high note, increasing from around 500K to 534K.
Riot Games' League of Legends: Wild Rift had mixed results. Revenue peaked at $279K in the week of October 23 but ended the quarter at $167K. Downloads remained steady with a minor increase from 20K to 29K, and the weekly active users concluded at just under 400K, a rise from the previous quarter.
The Pokémon Company's Pokémon UNITE witnessed a stable quarter. With revenue ranging from $15K to $32K, the focus for Pokémon UNITE was on maintaining its player base. Downloads hovered around 14K to 18K, and active users varied slightly, ending the quarter at approximately 158K.
Lastly, Arena of Valor from Level Infinite showed a slight increase in revenue towards the end of the quarter, reaching $8K from an initial $5K. Downloads saw an uptick from 1.6K to 2.2K, and the weekly active users experienced a small rise, ending at 8.6K.
