As the year 2023 came to a close, the performance of the top Lifestyle applications on the iOS platform in the United Kingdom showcased interesting trends, according to the latest data from Sensor Tower. In this recap, we’ll delve into the metrics for the top five apps in the category, examining downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Starting with Tinder: Chat, Dating & Friends, the app ended the year with a slight increase in downloads, jumping from 18K in the third week of December to over 21K in the final week. Its revenue saw a dip from $676K at the beginning of the quarter to around $474K at the end, while weekly active users decreased from 694K to 626K.
Bumble: Dating & Friends App also experienced fluctuations in the fourth quarter. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight decrease mid-quarter followed by a recovery to around 17K. Revenue peaked at $287K in the first week of December but fell to $230K by the year's end. The app's weekly active users saw a decline from 333K to 284K over the quarter.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Date showed consistency in its revenue, ranging from $216K to $248K, with the latter figure marking the end of the quarter. Downloads saw a high of 25K in mid-November but dropped to 21K by the last week of December. The app’s active users had a high of 358K in early December, which slightly decreased to 336K by the quarter's end.
Badoo: Dating. Chat. Friends, hailing from the UK, had its revenue peak at around $107K in late November but ended the quarter at nearly $100K. Downloads showed a slight upward trend, finishing at around 5K, and weekly active users saw a peak of 229K in late November, ending the quarter with 196K.
Lastly, Feeld: Meet Couples & Singles saw its revenue move from $91K to around $77K at the quarter's end. Downloads dipped from 3.6K to just under 2.7K, and the app's active users fluctuated, peaking at 67K before ending the quarter at 66K.
